Nada Team shared social work experience with student from Florida University

Mr.Suneel Vatsyayan, Chairperson interacted and shared his experience of working drug users and Non communication diseases #NCDs and Peer education work with undergraduate students from various social sciences disciplines, interested in learning about NGOs. from University of Florida "UF in India" program was organized by PAIRVI &;  CECOEDECON . India International Centre Lodhi Road, New Delhi . The Group of 16 st is led by Muthusami Kumaran, Ph.D. Department of Family, Youth &; Community Sciences University of Florida. Professor Sanjay Bhatt ( Department of Social work ,Delhi University)  facilitated  the discussion and  gave historical perspective of  a voluntary movement in India. Mr.Digvijay also shared his experience. Pairavi and Student group from University of Florida was presented with Nada India Friend scroll.Students interacted with communities and future opportunities for collaboration were discusses.

Acudetox Counseling Training@ National Institute of Social Defense

Acudetox Counseling training  session at that National Institute of Social Defence (NISD), Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India as part of 3 Months Certificate Course on De-addiction. Announcement of workshop in Delhi for NADA Acudetox Specialist,Associates and Assistants

Nada India Foundation   is pleased to announce the   Training workshop on use of ear acupuncture as per NADA Protocol for addiction treatment and general w ell being as  Acudetox Specialist,Associates and Assistants  to be held in Delhi   on 31st Jan (10 AM-5 PM) &1st Feb (Half day from 2pm-6 pm ) .2014. The workshop will be conducted by Dr. Michael O. Smith, Psychiatrist & Acupuncturist from  New York  and facilitated by Dr.Arindam Sinha MBBS,NADA,ADS and Suneel Vatsyayan , MSW,NADA,ADS. Pehchaan Exposure visit to Nature Bazaar Andheria Modh Mehrauli...

On 28th Dec.2013,Adolescent girls from Bapu Camp Jaunapur village Mandi Road Delhi visited Nature Bazaar Andheria Modh Mehrauli. This exposure visit was organised by Nada India under leadership of Ms.Pallavi, Pehchaan Program for livelihood. The objective  is to give these girls an opportunity to explore possible means of livelihood .This was  just a step towards  teaching them about  entrepreneurship. Nature Baazar  was organised by Dastkar (NGO) and Delhi Tourism is an excellent facility for villages and other localities  south Delhi.Nearest Metro is Chattarpur .

Computer education brought together people above sixty for the welfare of the community in Lado Sarai Village New Delhi

The number of old people in India has increased manifold. In the 1950’s, the number of people above 60 was a mere 5.6 percent of the total population, and it is going to be around 14.4 in 2025. Recently, a Pehchaan One month computer training program was organized by Nada India Foundation from 28th Jan- 05th March 2010 in collaboration with National Institute of Social Defence for people above sixty of Lado Sarai village (South Delhi). This was the fifth attempt after organizing successful training programmes in Ramprestha Dist.Ghaziabad Gurgaon (Haryana), Chhattarpur village and Mandwali village East Delhi.. The certificate distribution ceremony, was held on 03rd April 2010 at Shive Mandir Lado Sari, Sh.Yogender Singh Sejwal , Councilor (MCD) was the Chief Guest. Nada India in the news "We shall over come"

A national Hindi women magazine "Vanita" (Nov.2009 issue) published one page report "We shall over come" on Nada India women related interventions and success stories.The Article features Anju,Firdos,Bhawana&Sajada the peer educators and their success stories. The article also covers an overall view of the Pehchaan activities in the field of women empowerment and welfare ,drug abuse treatment and prevention. Nada runs vocational training center for women and coaching classes for their children also at Chattarpur Village, Delhi.

Networking , Partnership Building and Convergence for Drug Addiction Prevention and Control

Mr.Suneel Vatsyayan, Chairman Nada India Foundation conducted an interactive session on “Networking , Partnership Building and Convergence for Drug Addiction Prevention and Control” on September 12, 2008 The LNJN NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF CRIMINOLOGY & FORENSIC SCIENCE Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India organized a National Sensitization Workshop on Drug Abuse Prevention .. Dr. B. N. CHATTORAJ, Professor of Criminology, Chaired the session. The Workshop was attended by senior level officers from the Criminal Justice System from all over the country including Inspector General of Police, Dy. Inspector General of Police, Dy. Commissioner of Police, Addl. Director General of Police, District and Sessions Judges, Addl. District Sessions Judges, Sr. Level Officers from Prisons and Prosecution. Some prominent NGOs working in the field of Drug Abuse Prevention also participated.

Computer education ignites a new energy among senior citizens of Mendawali Village in east Delhi

MCD Recreation center for senior citizens has been locked for almost six years, the day it was constructed in Mendawali village, east Delhi; it was discovered by trainees of Pehachaan computer community training program organized by Nada India Foundation in collaboration with National Institute of Social Defence Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment The location of this center was found on internet while surfing on Google search engine by trainees of computer course. Mr.Phool Singh 64, rededicate himself to revive the recreation center for senior citizen, he says computer community education program helped him to build his lost identity as local leader. Once, he was focal point of local politics but left everything gradually and put on the margin of the changed village. During the initial discussions and survey, senior citizens denied the need of such training at this age and laughed away the proposal of joining the course.
