Nada India connected virtually with eCPR practitioners in India #COVID19

` On Saturday, March 28th 2020, the team of Nada India connected virtually with their co- eCPR  practitioners at 4 p.m to discuss their wellbeing in times of coronavirus and the contribution of the training of eCPR in their lives and the lives of people around them during the lockdown. The idea was to establish a virtual safe space like the physical one that they had created at the training. Kushangi , a clinical psychologist by training, is finding respite in the fact that she can help people in emotional/mental distress by enlisting her services with an NGO that connects her with such people. The discussion was moderated by Riya Thapliyal Nada Team member and facilitated by Suneel Vatsyayan. Emotional crisis is universal. It can happen to anyone at any time.   “ eCPR kaafi practice kar pa rahi hun aur realise kar rahi hun ki koi bhi crisis sirf uss vyakti ki baat sunne se kaafi hadd tak hal ho jaati hai. (I am practicing eCPR quite a lot and I am realising...

“Hugs—not drugs—are what we must promote,”

“ Hugs—not drugs —are what we must promote,” Mr. Vatsyayan said. “We are all living in our own islands,” he stated, “disconnected from everyone  else. We will have to create a world in which everyone can win.” “If we give importance to participation rather than competition,” Mr. Vatsyayan  explained, “then everyone can win. If you add competition then chances of drug use will increase. Inclusive  approach is important. Isolation can lead to addiction. We need preventive health  system with an inclusive approach.” Mr. Vatsyayan pointed out that: “People in the audience who watch you play become inspired to play and gives birth to a potential player. If we let the audience join us, they may not get addicted. Rahgiri is an amazing example where there is community engagement, and there are no organizers, no medals. It is an inclusive approach.” Maidan Summit 2015 was organised by Magic Bus (NGO)

Beads adventure: Boys, girls and women at BalBhawan Mandi

On 17th Jan2013 .Bal Bhavan (child's building) in Mandi village South Delhi Suneel arranged a remarkably successful and unique meeting--which developed over several years of interpersonal  building efforts.  That is to say, years of meetings were needed to develop the openness and trust with some of the participants.  The Bal Bhavan is a large area with scattered buildings, creative sculptures, various large plant arrangements, and many sites of special interactions for kids.  It was built in the semi-socialist 60's under Nehru and now has very little funding so the program is propelled by a dedicated multi-talented staff. We planned a month-long bead treatment of 25 regular attendees in the program.  The children were told to  make a painting and write 3 favorite words. This assignment will be repeated each month and become an on-going record of each child's sense of self and tension.  This method was stimulated by ...
