On 28th Dec.2013,Adolescent girls from Bapu Camp Jaunapur village Mandi Road Delhi visited Nature Bazaar Andheria Modh Mehrauli. This exposure visit was organised by Nada India under leadership of Ms.Pallavi, Pehchaan Program for livelihood. The objective is to give these girls an opportunity to explore possible means of livelihood .This was just a step towards teaching them about entrepreneurship. Nature Baazar was organised by Dastkar (NGO) and Delhi Tourism is an excellent facility for villages and other localities south Delhi.Nearest Metro is Chattarpur .

I joined as an intern, not fully aware of how deeply this experience would influence me. What began as a learning opportunity soon became a space where I understood the real meaning of public health, community connection, and grassroots impact. Working on community profiling in Haryana taught me that public health is not just about data—it is about listening and understanding people’s realities. Leading a team of 30 peers for a tobacco cessation project further shaped my confidence and sense of responsibility. Two significant points may be pointed out. First, this year’s World No Tobacco Day coincides with the coronavirus pandemic and second, the United States, one of the major funders of WHO has quit the UN body. Finding Amritsar: Haryali, Trauma and the Social Nature of Healing

This journey through Amritsar reaffirmed a simple belief: healing grows through people before prescriptions, through communities before institutions, and through hope before recovery. Prevention, after all, is social. During my recent visit to Amritsar, I discovered a different Punjab. Outside the state, Punjab is often seen through the lens of Udta Punjab —a story of drugs, addiction and despair. What I experienced, however, was another Punjab: a Punjab of Hariyali (greenery), resilience and hope . One of the most meaningful moments of my visit was meeting Dr. J.P.S. Bhatia , whose family represents three generations of psychiatrists. As we spoke, he reflected that Punjab has endured repeated historical trauma and that much of it has quietly travelled from one generation to the next.
