session at that National Institute of Social Defence (NISD), Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India as part of 3 Months Certificate Course on De-addiction. Counselling and Rehabilitation from:- 17th February to 13th May 2014 at NISD R.K.Puram , New Delhi.
The session was conducted by Suneel Vatsyayan MSW,NADA,ADS, Chairman Nada India Foundation and Dr.Uttam Singh NADA ADS.
This training course was to enhance the capacity of service providers (Project In charge/Counselors/Social Workers) of NGOs working in the area of drug demand reduction in order to enable them to implement the program in efficient and effective manner.
Topic: - NADA Acudetox counseling for Barrier Free drug rehabilitation services.
The trainees belong to Delhi,Punjab,Mizoram,Bihar ,Kerala,Madhya Pradash ,Utter Predash etc.Counselors,Peer counselors ,Social workers wants to get training in NADA protocol as Acupuncture Detoxification Associate under supervision of a physician.

Acudetox Counselling Camps : Community based non-communicable diseases prevention

Nada India organised Acudetox Health awareness camp on 5th April on the eve of World Health Day under supervision of Dr.Ajay Vats ADS of Nada India at Bapu camp Maandi Road South Delhi. Ms.Pratima Singh of Pehchaan Counseling Center run by Nada India provided acudetox counseling to women and adolescent girls of slum area apart from check ups and referrals. Peer educators will be visiting house to house to reach out these people for follow up and health awareness issues related to non- communicable diseases like cancer,hypertension ,diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Nada India aims to reduce risk factors like tobacco use ,alcohol,Physical inactivity and Unhealthy diet. Nada India is committed to reduce risk factors among slum and urban village population through acudetox counselling camps.
