#SvarnimPuducherry, a holistic development project of Sri Aurobindo Society, as a part of their health initiatives organized a Workshop on De-addiction and Wellbeing on July 7 and 8, 2019. The workshop was based on the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association’s (NADA) Protocol, which comprises ear acupuncture for addiction, stress and trauma. The applicants selected included a group of 35 medical and paramedical professionals and interested candidates, who wholehearted and keenly participated in the programme. The reason that Sri Aurobindo Society chose for this programme is that the NADA Protocol “can easily be used in any location where a group of people can sit together. It is most commonly used for addiction, behavioral health, disasters and emotional trauma. Sober Recovery Treatment and Rehabilitation Center (SRTRC) is a secular, non- government, non-profit agency; providing counselling, support and treatment to the victims of addiction and HIV/AIDS in Nepal. SRTRC had two separate facilities for male and female clients. SRTRC along with Nada India organized the two day NADA Acudetox Ear Acupuncture Training Workshop from the 23-24 March, 2017. This program saw the participation of more than two dozon  Peer led drug recovery centers from across Kathmandu. NADA acudetox counseling workshop for alcohol and drug prevention at Mumbra. Clinical psychologist,academician from engineering department, Doordarsan ,house wives,NADA acudetox  leaders,specialist and assistants,Muslim priests, media experts joined the workshop and resolved to work collectively for drug and alcohol prevention .Nada India is committed to support the future meetings and actions at grass-root level.The workshop was facilitated by Suneel Vatsyayan. Nada India organised Acudetox Health awareness camp on 5th April on the eve of World Health Day under supervision of Dr.Ajay Vats ADS of Nada India at Bapu camp Maandi Road South Delhi. Ms.Pratima Singh of Pehchaan Counseling Center run by Nada India provided acudetox counseling to women and adolescent girls of slum area apart from check ups and referrals.
