Sanjeeb, an amazing Nada Health advocate launched Anti Smoking Signature Campaign in Imphal, Manipur

World No Tobacco Day-31st May 2019 was observed with a theme “Tobacco and lung health”.   Sanjeeb Kumar Khwairakpam,  Convener,  Young India Network for Good health, Nada India, Manipur along with a group of volunteers launched the signature campaign launched in Imphal.   The theme of the campaign was "Smoke Free Family Healthy Family". Minister of Health  Sh.Jyenta ji signing pledge According to Global Adult Tobacco Survey-2 (GATS-2)  the prevalence rate of tobacco used in any form in Manipur is 55.t% i.e. a little more half the population of Manipur are users of Tobacco in any form while the overall Indian percentage is 28.6%. NADA acudetox counseling workshop for alcohol and drug prevention at Mumbra. Clinical psychologist,academician from engineering department, Doordarsan ,house wives,NADA acudetox  leaders,specialist and assistants,Muslim priests, media experts joined the workshop and resolved to work collectively for drug and alcohol prevention .Nada India is committed to support the future meetings and actions at grass-root level.The workshop was facilitated by Suneel Vatsyayan. Nada India will be supporting three monthly meetings for community action and use of acudetox along with alcohol awareness in Mumbra and providing them needles as well.
