The venue Pagoda resorts was situated away from the city in picturesque cotton fields had well- furnished accommodation with beautiful lush green lawns. Around 250 delegates and 35 post-graduate residents were registered from different cities & medical colleges in the conference. Theme of the conference “Addiction: Family and society” was appropriate to the time and the needs of the residents of the border area. Galaxy of speakers and faculties for various scientific sessions were of national repute. "Burden of Untreated Addicts on the Society"

Annual Conference of North Zone Indian Psychiatric Society (NZIPS) was held from 27th to 2 8 th October 2012 at Sri Ganga Nagar (Rajasthan) in which Dr Chander Mohan, Professor Psychiatry ASCOMS Medical College, Jammu chaired the main scientific session on drug addiction in society. MUMBAI: After being blamed for tobacco use, Bollywood  is now being blamed for promoting alcohol to India's youth.  NGOs PHFI (  Public Health Foundation of India ) and HRIDAY(Health Related Information Dissemination Amongst Youth) made two shocking findings after interviewing around 4,000 Delhi school children who watched Bollywood films. "Firstly, we found that 10% of these students who were in the 12-16 age group had already tried alcohol,'' said PHFI's  Monika Arora , a  principal investigator  of the study. Secondly, the study found students that had been most exposed to alcohol use in Bollywood movies were found to be 2.78 times more likely to have tried alcohol compared with those who were least exposed..... Nada involves the young for bringing back the senior citizens in to main stream

Mr.Verma retired from Indian Air Force, he has lot of community  initiative in his credit.  Today ,Nada Team visited Pehchaan senior citizens computer training program at Aya Nager. We met Mr.Verma retired from Indian Air Force.He shared his experiences and beliefs a lot of old people have,which hold them back from joining such new initiatives. He praised the efforts of Nada India team like Mr.Chandan. I tried to involve young people using Internet Cafe in a joint learning experience with old people.
