62.5 million people in India drink alcohoL

  According to the Annual Health Survey 2012 conducted by the ministry of health and family welfare, nearly 62.5 million people in India drink alcoho l with the per capita consumption being around four litres per adult per year. For every six men, one woman drinks alcohol in India. India has one of the largest alcoholic beverage industries in the world, producing 65 per cent of the alcohol in south-east Asia. It also contributes to about seven per cent of the total alcohol beverage imports into the region. Demanding a total ban of alcohol sale in the country in view of the adverse impact it has on youth in the country, Sri Sri told #bbv on Zee News, “About 90 per cent of all cases of crime against women happen when the culprits are in an intoxicated condition. Governor Hickenlooper signs into law our Acu Detox Bill

June 5, 2013 Governor Hickenlooper signs into law our Acu Detox Bill allowing certain licensed health care professionals to be trained in NADA to help those suffering from mental health imbalances, trauma,  and substance abuse. Three years in the making.  Yay!   Dear friends, This new law allows all licensed mental health professionals to be ADSes without any outside supervisors.        MIKE Hey folks! Beads adventure: Boys, girls and women at BalBhawan Mandi

On 17th Jan2013 .Bal Bhavan (child's building) in Mandi village South Delhi Suneel arranged a remarkably successful and unique meeting--which developed over several years of interpersonal  building efforts.  That is to say, years of meetings were needed to develop the openness and trust with some of the participants.  The Bal Bhavan is a large area with scattered buildings, creative sculptures, various large plant arrangements, and many sites of special interactions for kids.  It was built in the semi-socialist 60's under Nehru and now has very little funding so the program is propelled by a dedicated multi-talented staff. We planned a month-long bead treatment of 25 regular attendees in the program.  The children were told to  make a painting and write 3 favorite words. Annual Conference of North Zone Indian Psychiatric Society (NZIPS) was held from 27th to 2 8 th October 2012 at Sri Ganga Nagar (Rajasthan) in which Dr Chander Mohan, Professor Psychiatry ASCOMS Medical College, Jammu chaired the main scientific session on drug addiction in society.
