New Delhi:  Indian Premier League's (IPL) Bangalore team, Royal Challengers is directly advertising an alcohol brand, says a Delhi based NGO which has complained against the team in a letter to the Information and Broadcasting Ministry. "The jersey worn by umpires, players and other team members of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) prominently displays the name of the liquor brand 'Royal Challenge' at the front and back of the jerseys. The jerseys also display the brand name of a vodka brand, on the right arm of the jerseys worn by players," says Monika Arora, Senior Director, HRIDAY in a letter to Manish Tewari. But also India is burdened by alcohol harm and therefore we advocate for better regulations on local and state level as well as for a national alcohol policy. Some regulations are in place already. NADA acudetox counseling workshop for alcohol and drug prevention at Mumbra. Clinical psychologist,academician from engineering department, Doordarsan ,house wives,NADA acudetox  leaders,specialist and assistants,Muslim priests, media experts joined the workshop and resolved to work collectively for drug and alcohol prevention .Nada India is committed to support the future meetings and actions at grass-root level.The workshop was facilitated by Suneel Vatsyayan. Nada India will be supporting three monthly meetings for community action and use of acudetox along with alcohol awareness in Mumbra and providing them needles as well.

Nada India organised Acudetox Health awareness camp on 5th April on the eve of World Health Day under supervision of Dr.Ajay Vats ADS of Nada India at Bapu camp Maandi Road South Delhi. Ms.Pratima Singh of Pehchaan Counseling Center run by Nada India provided acudetox counseling to women and adolescent girls of slum area apart from check ups and referrals.
