World No Tobacco Day-31st May 2019 was observed with a theme “Tobacco and lung health”.   Sanjeeb Kumar Khwairakpam,  Convener,  Young India Network for Good health, Nada India, Manipur along with a group of volunteers launched the signature campaign launched in Imphal.   The theme of the campaign was "Smoke Free Family Healthy Family". Minister of Health  Sh.Jyenta ji signing pledge According to Global Adult Tobacco Survey-2 (GATS-2)  the prevalence rate of tobacco used in any form in Manipur is 55.t% i.e. a little more half the population of Manipur are users of Tobacco in any form while the overall Indian percentage is 28.6%.
